This has a lot of potential and is pretty solid for a jam game. The opening was kind of weak and almost made me want to quit but the gun upgrades sold it. Blowing people away with such fun weapons is really enjoyable; I almost wish you'd start with the first upgrade you encounter.

The enemies you have to take forever putting bullets into in the beginning are frustrating especially since they are pushovers once you get an upgrade.

SinclairStrange responds:

If you press F and change the gun to hi-power you should blast through them like hot knife through butter (even with the starting gun) :) I think I should edit it so start on high power mode instead of the lower power. (Actually I'll do that now.)

I'd of liked to toy with the lo-hi settings more if I had more time but alas, game jams :P

This has a lot of potential but is still pretty rough around the edges. Voted yes on Greenlight.

Enemies mechanics are fairly boring; slow and predictable. I would like to see more variety and diverse behavior/movement patterns from them. Visuals really need some improvement but they get the job done.

The boss battle was easily the most enjoyable part. It felt a lot like Binding of Issac boss fights, but thats not a bad thing.

I like where this is going.

Thanks for voting, I will improve the game until the final version

Unresponsive controls. Besides that, this is basic as fuck. It might be a funny troll game for some miscreants; but this is junk otherwise.

DArtRebelAlex responds:

I've asked a lot of people if the controls were unresponsive and they said they weren´t. What do you think is unresponsive, maybe I can update it and make it better.
Also I know it's basic, it's supposed to be. There really aren't many ways I can complicate this (or I just didn't think of them wich is possible, I'm not very creative). This was requested by a friend of mine so I made it, added 2 modes and made his movement a little unpredictable but not to much so it's not too hard to hit him.
Thank You ;D

A quintessential addition to the MLG Circuit, Da Best Gaem moves gamers unlike any piece of video game history before it. Stunning, dank relative memes strike a chord in the heart of even the most jaded gamer. An airhorn plays like an angelic tune to my calloused ears and brings a cathartic tear to my eye.

We yearn for the past, and the melodies of Nyan Cat brings twinges of sweet nostalgia to the forefront of my brain; as though a dear, long lost friend has returned to me. The inclusion of Hitler, our planet's greatest man, also makes his unifying presence felt in the game. A lot of men may hate Hitler, but remember, the iconoclast Hitler brought us all together to fight a unified enemy - Himself. Hitler did not what he wanted, but what he felt needed to be done to strengthen our bonds- much like consumption of Doritos with our merry brethren strengthen our bounds at any MLG tournament. I say, the author, nay the philosopher, Deathink, has moved me in a way I've never moved before. 11/10, would play again.

deathink responds:

You are a true connoisseur of fine MLG gaming.

Thanks for taking the time to decode and savor its deep satirical literary commentary.
This game was hand crafted by personally selecting only the ripest memes, and quality control tested by the most skilled gamer gurls.

You may have camped this commentary... but you no scoped my heart!

I love everything about this. Beautiful execution and perfect game feel :O

Rarykos responds:

Whoa thank you!

Pretty sweet for a jam game. All the ingredients for a cool shooter are here - would love to see you expand on this idea.

Definitely would be cool with new guns to pick up and different enemy behaviors. It got to the point where the enemy behaviors were predictable; they were quite relentless and hard to beat at the beginning but constant health powerups made it not a problem.

Also, arena didn't work for some reason.

Anyway, I like what you have here. Really hope you do more with this!

suVrik responds:

Hey! Thank you for the response! There're pretty much things I would like to add. Guns, behaviors and more levels are the most important ones, but multiplayer and some other things took most of my time and I didn't make make all the things I wanted to make.
Did you try arena with at least 2 players? Like controller + keyboard or controller + controller?

WHAT HAPPENED??? THIS ISNT EVEN A GAME. I bet the devs slept with Pewdiepie to get featured. Talk about CORRUPTION, I mean look at these reviews:

" "1000000/10x1 - Polygon" - IGN" - RockPaperShotgun

"I am as desperate to play this game as a single mom is to score dick on tinder" - Pewdiepie [1987-2015]

Guy-Unger responds:

WHY YOU SAY IT NO GAME!! ヽ(≧Д≦)ノ COME FIGHT ME YOU
AN ‎LEAVE PEWDS ALONE !!!

Guhhh your graphics are too fuckin' cute man. I love the style in this game, both visually and the quirky writing.

It did get slightly repetitive for me a few levels in, but overall this game was engaging and has a very rewarding sense of progression. Nice work Chaz and team!

Chaz responds:

Thanks dude!

I love poop jokes and all things immature. Novel idea, this made me giggle a lot.

Too bad after one play through, theres no real incentive to play through another round. You could totally make this have a longer life span with a few added mechanics/goals/upgrades to work toward. But maybe this was just your goal. Either way, fun quick little idea.

rhys510 responds:

thanks! :D

Why do bullet hell games always feature little anime girls as the characters? No, seriously, I've always been curious.

Anyway, not bad. The hitbox for my character wasn't immediately obvious so that kind of bothered me. Unless I overlooked it, maybe it would be helpful to include a little visual on the character (that stood out) to better represent the hitbox.

The uploading music thing is way cool and I've never seen that done before in a flash game. Nice innovation.

Nonako responds:

They don't always like that, there are ton of bullet hell games only have cool mecha and soulless machines. xD But seems these games are not popular as those "shooting game with moe characters" so maybe you didn't know about them. Beside that, Touhou is just a part of bullet hell genre not a genre itself, Touhou features little moe girls but not every bullet hell games. The ultimate truth is that I fucking love little anime girls so at anytime I have chance, I will put them into my games and other projects, not because they are bullet hell games. XD XD XD XD

Thank you so much for the advice/ I'm feeling so badly to make the hitbox be large and has more obvious present but... Arh damn, I don't know... T_T

// I updated the new version with bigger display hitbox.
