anti-Nazi Disney Propoganda/ other ww2 time animations

Posted by Tyler - April 5th, 2011

I'm sure most of you animation buffs have seen it, but I thought these were interesting anti-Nazi pieces that should be shared. Made by Disney no less. I came across this while researching wartime efforts for animation studios. Cool stuff, I thought.

Some other pieces: Private Snafu, a series of wartime training videos hired by the US Army Signal Corps.

you forgot the one where Donald Duck dreams he's a nazi

also this goofy clip is hillarious:

"This video isn't available in your country."

Guess where I come from!

lolll. that's too bad though, it's interesting to see the mindsets and attitudes from different generations still. I don't think it should be banned, but I guess I understand why it would be there. :( :(

Good thing I can circumvent youtubes shit. :P

Private Snafu is definitly a fun propagnadda series to look up, espeaically when you know that some of them were writen by Dr.Seuss(theodor geisel).

nice videos, mekes me think lol

Was that the VA for Bugs Bunny?

indeed

you forgot the one with donald duck. that ones epic.

I feel as if we currently have similar subliminal messages with the middle eastern culture today. It may not be as obvious as these cartoons, but I can definitely feel the pressure on the "evil" middle eastern culture.

Hahahaha! I started laughing so hard at the Hitler one. :P These are great!

The irony of Disney producing anti-nazi propaganda is pretty lulzy, considering that Disney himself was a stalwart anti-semetic. Also the fact that they actually STAFFED some former Nazis following WW2 (in particular the host of one of their science programs was a former SS scientist). CREEPY SHIT DUDE

and how! I never heard about them staffing former nazis though. THAT WACKY DISNEY i tell ya
